I didn't notice this until I was talking to my friend and telling him about the new forums. After saying yaBB SE was switching their name, and I said SMF, implying the name, and he thought I was calling him... You know what.  :P

I know that the name is one of the least important things, but how about SMCF? Simple Machines Community Forums, like it says at the bottom of the page.

WTF is SMF supposed to imply? SMF is the alter-name of the forum and SMCF would be this site, not the actual forum software.

Its a perfectly legitimate thread, and a decent suggestion.  The abbreviation just stands for more than one thing ;)
