Major security risk
dilaca:
Can someone please help me.
I have a list of things wrong with my site on my support ticket but they don't seem to be getting corrected.
Last night someone left a message on my support ticket
--- Quote ---yes.... your css is a little bit overloaded! i repair it and make an upgrade to 1.0 beta 4.1 public!
--- End quote ---
Now I have an error message on my board saying "MAJOR SECURITY RISK- You have not removed upgrade.php"
Can someone help me please.
I've also added this on my support ticket but it takes days to get any reply at all on there.
Thanks. :)

delete upgrade.php from the server.

Sorry I became a charter member because I don't know much about computers and appreciated the offer to have things done for me.
Would you mind explaining what I need to do please.

I am assuming you have FTP access to your webserver. Go to the folder in which SMF is installed. If you do not know it will be the same as the folder you access via url... eg www.simplemachines.org/community/.... in that example community is the folder. This folder is either located in your public html folder. This may be named public_html, home, public...
Locate the file upgrade.php.
If you are using a command.com to access the server cd to the folder. Then use the command
delete (eg. cd public_html (enter) cd community (enter) delete upgrade.php)

Rosy, you can also open a helpdesk ticket if you prefer for one of the support staff to delete the file for you. If you do this, please make sure to include your ftp information
