Customizing SMF > Mod Requests
Mark topics to be read by admins
akl:
Hey guys,
I wanted to know if there is already a mod that performs this function or if someone can make it for free
it's a simple idea
basically, on the forums i'm at, some of the tasks in the "Help board" are delegated to moderators. However some queries are only fixable by administrators and as they have more important tasks to perform, they do not view the help board.
I was wondering if there was a way to allow the moderators to "mark (in a way)" those topics in some way so the administrators are notified that there is a topic that requires their attention
perhaps the administrators could have a new page where all these marked topics are listed and they can choose them and dutifully as each of them are solved they have the option of marking it solved. I know there is a mod that marks the topics [SOLVED] or [UNSOLVED] or something similar
I hope I was clear enough
thanks!

Have you tried this mod? You can edit the permissions to Admin/Moderator only I believe.
Suki:
In a forum I'm member on there is a sticky topic where all the staff can post about request to be handle by admins, so, for example, if you want X thing, you just go and post on that topic, that way the admins have a place where all the request are listed.

I could try that but it'd be much more professional if it could be in a form of mod
it won't be too hard would it
having a fucntion that flags it for admins to view in the admin panel?
