How to add text to a copy & past?
(1/1)
ApplianceJunk:
In the forums at appliancepartspros there is a feature were if you paste text that you copied from their website it adds text to the end of it.
For example:
If you select and copy this from their website.
--- Quote ---I just checked voltage across L & N..... weird, I get like 70 Volts.
--- End quote ---
and then paste it back to their website or anyplace else you get this.
--- Quote ---I just checked voltage across L & N..... weird, I get like 70 Volts.

--- End quote ---
Anyone know what this feature is called?
I don't even know what to search for in the mod section to see if something like this is already available for SMF or not.
I think it would be a really nice feature for when other sites automatically start stealing your site content. At least you would get a link back to your site out of the theft. ;)
ApplianceJunk:
Guess I have this solved unless someone wants to share another solution.
Here is what I found.
It's called...
"Using JavaScript to Add a Read More Link When Text is Copied From Your Site"
http://www.tynt.com/
The even had instructions on their site for installing the code in SMF.
I had to replace the ' with " in the code it generated to get read of the syntax errors, but after that it worked great.
Edited to add:
So I can't mark chit chat topics solved and I bumped this topic with in 24 hours, dam I really screwed this one up.
Moderators can do with me as they wish, sorry. :(
ApplianceJunk:
The mod, now I find it... lol
Found it searching the SMF site through google instead of SMF as was suggested in another thread.
Tynt-SMF Tracer Mod
Anyone else been using Tynt.com on their site?
