He means you should go to your private email's inbox (not account on this) and check conversation between you and language team then you can find you have NOT approved or APPROVED with a link to Edit language area.

At first, you can down load english language file and translate it all. When you can access Edit language area for Myanmar, just copy / paste and you will save your time from now.

cm69 SMF will encourage ANY language translation. There is already a translator for Latvian, so the project has already begun. I saw he is inactive since July 2011.

If you believe that you have good enough knowledge and skills both of your language and English and you can produce good translation results you could assist for a good quality SMF Latvian translation.

Read again the first message in this post and, if you feel you can really help send the required email.

You can also encourage friends of yours that you believe have the necessary knowledge and skills for translating and/or previous experience to either participate, or help you with Latvian translation.

When a good percentage will be done, it will be good for SMF and for Latvians to be added in languages available for download.

Hello there.

Latvian language is not available for download yet, so at the moment you can't change forum language to it.

Regards.

I've sent in a request to work on an Esperanto translation of SMF. We've already made quite good progress.

We've just been typing over the English phrases directly in the php files so far. Is that the way it's done, or is there some kind of official online system here for working on the translations?

Chainy, there is a special system if you want to provide the translations for everyone here. Please read the information in the first post on this topic for what you can do.

Yes, thank you. I've sent an email off to the team, so hopefully they will soon give me access to the translation system. I imagine it will be a lot easier to use that, rather than just writing directly into the php files! And we'll be able to work more efficiently together to speed up the process.

Dear friends,
I raised an issue in regard of multilingual"ism", maybe you will find it interesting and could join the discussion or even the development of this idea. I guess it would be very useful in all language regards and translation works.

Bilingual [multilingual], maybe a strange idea, maybe possible already

I hope it does not disturb here and is a proper place to raise it even here where the most "self" need would be.

Always Look On The Bright Side
"If people hate you, that's when you're let off the hook. You can come and go as you like without having to worry about whether or not they'll miss you or get upset at your going. And you don't have to bring any presents for them when you come back. You're free to do as you like." - Ajahn Funag
