hi guys

im new here and new to SMF

just havin a play around with it before i decide if im going to use it for my site

i no u can make custom blocks but is there anyway u can make custom pages ????? and ad a button at the top with the rest ????

1- Welcome to SMF
2- stop the text-speak typing.   Type out your words in normal Emglish.
3- the creation of blocks and pages depends on the portal which you decided to use - there are several portal mods available all of which do both blocks and pages, but do it slightly differently.
4- adding buttons is another story. There are 2 mods to handle managing the menu form an interface - we also have how to add a button instructions in the Wiki.

Actually, that chewing gum one almost makes sense if you look at the literal translation (with someone unfamiliar with the difference between words like spit and vomit) lol....

sorry guys . ive sorted that issue out now . ive used simple portal with menu editor mod .

also im having problems with my themes not installing correctly ??? how are u ment to install the themes ????

i found the problem i was trying to install themes that wasnt supported . .

all sorted now ..

its alot better than dragonfly .. ill soon be changing to  smf ..... would it be easier for me to convert from dragonfly ? or just install fresh ???

These generally mean that the necessary code has been modified by a mod already.

This is when a manual edit becomes necessary.

Have a look for notepadd## on google it wil become very useful.
