how to use SMF webboard show in homepage ?

I have question

now I practice developing website by using SMF

I would like to show SMF webboard in home page (first page of my website)

of my website.

such as my website is myweb.com

now my webboard link is myweb.com/webboard/index.php

how can I set myweb.com show myweb.com/webboard/index.php ?

do I have to use redirect 301 in my home page ?

I concern about SEO .

please advice . I am beginner.

Hi, welcome to the forum.

You can have your forum installation on the root if you want, if you don't plan to ever use the root to build a frontpage then you can simply install the forum there, even if you later decide to add a frontpage, its only a matter of moving the files and run a script to fix paths.

  Firstly, make sure what you want to do.? Do you want to redirect web site permanently or temporary? If you going to choose 301 your site will be redirected permanently and if you choose 302 your site will be redirected temporary base.
