Currently running version YaBB SE 1.5.5 and want to move to SMF.  I have the converter but was wondering.  Just untar the file into the forums dir and point my browser to the upgrade.php ?

Pretty much, just make sure you download the upgrade package not install, and of course back up before you start.

Looks like it went OK, but having some basic perms questions.  I want one of my forums to be viewable to the public, but only that... they can view posts but not do anything else.  Amy I missing something cause I dont see that option in the Unregisterd Guests area.  THere is noting that says view posts only.

Just let them access it, but don't give them the "post" permissions.
