One more Question... Moving Hosting
pgTriage:
Thanks :D

Be aware that however you move your site, at some point you will have to change the nameserver information to point to the new server. From the time you change the data you can have a period of up to 72 hours before people are directed to the new site, in most cases it is a lot less than this, typically a few hours, but I have known some ISP's take the full 72 hours to update thier name servers and your users browser may cache IP's as well.
This means that during the transition you have no control over which site the user goes to, so they could be posting to the old server or the new server, also email may get lost if it is sent to the old server when you are looking at the new one.
There is not a lot you can do other than be aware of it, put email diversions from the old server to an off server account you can access and perhaps put the board into maintentance mode for a while or at least have a prominent warning.
Make sure you have copies of everything you want off the old server as once the DNS information is changed you may or may not be able to get back in to the old server, you can usually get back in using either the old IP address or the master server name, but not all host enable this.

Just put the site on the old server in maintenance mode.

Remember to do that before you change the name server information. It will not resolve the mail issues though if you have any email accounts or redirections on the server.

All things a good host would do for you when moving your site. ;)
