Set default Karma on sign up?

I am not much of a coder, as you can see, but I think this is not too difficult to implement. What I would like to achieve is to add X number of karma points for each new user on sign up. This is to achieve a possibility of the forum members to basically silence a user that is mutually agreed to be a nuisance. I use the Karma Based Member groups mod which is a good start but doesn't achieve what I want it to achieve alone. http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=1935

This way, I could automatically gradually remove rights from a person who falls under the start up karma. Hope that makes sense.

Ah, of course! I simply had to go to php myAdmin to edit the table barbie_smf_members default value for the karma_good field for the value I needed. How simple is that..?
