Anyone know how to use Skype in Android without forcing users to register a Google account?

Well i went to the play store and installed a app called skype

But i already had a skype account

Does it require users to register a Google account, or can you connect directly to other Skype users?

I just sign in to skype
and talk to people
so No i believe

Ok.  Trying to get my brother hooked up, but he's using a Galaxy tab running Android.  It forced him to create a Google account to install Skype, and invites he sends are from Google Talk, users must create Google accounts to use it.  Just set up a new Skype account for him, and asked him to try to logout of the Google account, and login to the new account.
