Database question...

Hello everybody,

   I'm a newbie in the board world and have a question that may sound dumb to you all:

The database we are supposed to use, are they automaticaly generated in the place where we decide, or are we supposed to upload a certain PRIMER DATABASE on it...

You need to have a database already defined/created on your server or webhost.  The SMF install will create the tables it needs. within the database.

Okay, so the tables created by the install, great, now to get the SQL databease permission, or whatever it is called in english... :P

Your webhost account contains information about a Database.
It has his own extra login and host and database name.

And it must be a MySQL Database.
If you have no database in your web hosting you might wanan check out the Hosting board http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?board=4.0
