Beginner here and need help with sub forums

I know that i have read a few posts here and really did not get what I was looking for.

I came to SMF because of the customization. The only difference from the free forums that I was using is the simplicity that they had with creating sub catagories (which I see are child boards here)

The question that I am getting here is how do I create something so it looks like this.

Catagory is SPORTS
Sub-catagory (child board) would be Racing
but then I want other catagories here like Nascar, and other racing stuff.

So what im getting at is how can I creat a sub-catagory under another sub catagory? Is this possible? becuase in what I am looking to create if its not then I believe I had just wasted A LOT of money!! lol

Sure you can do that. Simply have the sub-sub board be a child of the sub board.

and when you think you have searched enough you are proven wrong, LOL. Thank you very much that answers my question. now another one real quick. I have installed a child board remover mod to remove where it says child board. Now when you select that parent board to bring you to the child board it still says "Child Board" in what i would call the catagory bar. Is there a way to remove that or does it always have to show child board?

I don't know of a modification that removes that text as well. You would need to go in and manually remove that.

Ok thank you. Now I figured out the child board under a child board. But is there a way to create a category under a child board? so lets say I create a child board but then there are multiple categories within that child board? or know of a mod that allows that? guess that was the original question I was trying to get after now that I think about it. lol
