mod installation issue

I'm having a mod installation issue.

I'm using the latest release of SMF and Square Era theme.
The mod I'm trying to install is Pretty URLs

He said it is a problem with something else. Any help please ?

It is a problem with something else, it usually means there's something funny going on with the permissions that mean it can't unpack the files properly.

As for resolving it, I've unfortunately never seen anyone actually figure out a solution :(

Arantor - I wonder if creating a temp folder in Packages would do it  ?

Odds are there's already one there. But it can't hurt to give it a try, I guess.

I have created a temp fold and CHMOD 777 to check out. Doesn't help same error persists. It seems some other mods which are working fine for everyone else is messed up for me. Thank God that I was just playing with the system. I don't mind a reinstall. But I wouldn't want this happening when I port my forum. I think I'm gonna work in localhost first before bringing it on live.
