enabling attachment thumbnail

How do you exactly enable the thumbnail for the attachment image files?
Only thing I can find is in the  'Attachment Settings': Display image attachment as pictures under post and Resize images when showing under the posts.
I attached an image to a post and it shows up in full size.
When I go to Browse Files in the Admin panel, I can see the image file but there's nothing in the Thumbnail section. ???

In section "Attachment settings" check "Resize images when showing under posts" and define a max widh & height in the edit fields below.

Ya... I was referring to that in my original post. That's not doing anything.
Wondering if it's a new bug in beta 2.0b4

Well, it works for me on 2.0b4.

Any problems with the directory permissions?

Then it means I've done something... Thnx.
No issues with dir permissions. If there were, I wouldn't be able to post anything anyways.
And it looks like thumbnail is just a resized original, not a newly generated file.
Guess I'm gonna have to dig through the codes and find out what's going on.
