Whoops, you're right, my bad. Sorry. I don't normally reply to 1.1.x support topics as I don't use it now, only 2.x.
The code for Notifications is found in subs-posts.php around line 790. It's a complex function and not one I would want to advise you on changing but from other posts here, you may be able to work it out. This reminded me of one of the reasons for upgrading to 2.x, the code is much easier to navigate.
