flash menu! man...

You got a point there...
But... anyway, the page is always working (unless the server stops working or something :P) only that Flash menu isn't working, so, i'll just add a  normal HTML menu  ;)

You have to look at your audience.

For Amazon.com, it doesn't barely matter - 99% of their users are using IE.

For webhosts... it does.  A lot.  Because at least 18% (probably more!) DON'T use IE, and that means you lose 18% of your business for having it written with bad HTML. (which Mozilla, etc. don't work well with.)

I'm not a fan of flash menus in any shape or form... my opinion would be to take out the fancies and keep it simple OR do what was suggested above and take the javascript approach with onmouseover...

Well, it doesn't matter anymore, I got my flash menu :P:P:P
Only uhm... The whole site is in Flash now  :P
