Labradoodle-360:
Hey everyone!

Thought it was about time to share one of my latest projects with the community and get some input.

For quite some time now, I have considered developing a Like/Dislike Posts system for each post that would work similar to YouTube, and also similar to Facebook; some sort of twist between the two.

In some "free time" I have started to develop it. Due to being so busy, I don't know how long it will take me to complete to the goals I have set for it.

Basically, each post will have a fully permission based Like/Dislike system. Administrators will be able to have control over who can like, who can dislike, who can unlike, who can undislike, and so fourth.

In addition, some controls are being set such as "Like/Dislike Mode" which allows the administrator to set which mode the system should be using.

Modes

* Like+Dislike
* Like
* Dislike
* DisabledSo pretty straight forward.

If mode is set to Like + Dislike, there are a couple additional options that can be set. First of all, whether it should show a count of how many likes and dislikes, if it should show the member names, an overall count where like and dislike offset eachother, or a count AND the member names.

If the mode is set to either Like + Dislike OR Dislike, an additional field is available to set a number of dislikes where the post should be automatically collapsed. An additional permission has been built in that allows you to choose who can expand a collapsed post.

As of now, I have not made it fully Ajax (automatic). Although I am considering it as a possibility of adding it after I have the full system developed. For now, I have used a fair amount of jQuery for expanding collapsed posts, and even in the admin panel for modes and so fourth.

This has been developed with mindset of Guests being able to VIEW likes/dislikes but not submit a like/dislike.

Labradoodle-360:
Do you mean to [This] nav?

Antes:
Yeap... :)

Labradoodle-360:
Not going to happen as this system is being developed on a per-post basis, not a topic. Unless I am misunderstanding your question?
