Also you do not need to compress your theme folders for upload to the server. You can simply upload them via FTP into the themes folder and then install it through the theme manager. Not sure if that answers your question?

Is there a way on the administrative profile to simply switch domains?
or will this depend on my Hosting Account?

What do you mean switch domains? If it is as addon domain you could remove that domain and add the domain you want and assign it to the same directory. You would just need to change some paths in smf settings

Correct, where in the settings can i find those path's?

Im building a forum, witch i have already connected to my own server, however i was so anxious to build it, i could not wait until i could purchase a new domain, so i used a temporary .co.cc domain assuming i can simply swap it out with a new official .com domain.
