Maybe put your stuff in the right categories!!! I have seen mods that adds a completely new feature but listed in feature enhancement.

That is subjective and we cannot really enforce mod authors to put their mods on specific places, we already got enough complains about us "molding" their mods...

There are plenty of mods in other categories that shouldn't be; I lost count of the bbc mods that were 'New Features' for example. It's really not a big deal.

I wonder if introducing tags instead of categories could help with that

I don't see a problem with BBCode mods in New Features, they *do* add a new feature, and don't change functionality of another (well in the sense of modifying tags)
