A question about Backup!

Yes i know how to back up and stuff

Is it ok if i JUST backup my database and not my files?

Yes, it is fine. All the crucial stuff is in the database anyway, and is the most important part to be backed up always.  You can always upload fresh forum files if needed, but you cannot restore a database that is lost or corrupted if there is no backup to restore from.
If you have any custom coding in your forum files, it is advisable to back them up as well to save you time in having to do the edits all over again if they are lost.

Of course, if you don't backup the software and you lose everything, you'll have to go about reinstalling all your mods and themes.
