Topic: Unread Personal Messages Count is wrong. Fix?

Hello,

for some time now  - since my board has grown big - the unread personal messages count get wrong. A member can read all his personal messages but suddenly it will again indiciate he has unread messages while actually there are none. If I run the board maintenance it will temporarily fix this issue but shortly after it is back to the proble,

Any ideas what I can look for into fixing this issue?

It sounds like you might have a corrupt table or something that is getting written wrong to the database. 

What mods do you have installed?

thank you for your reply. I have many mods installed. Running the forum maintenance will temporarily fix the problem but soon afterwards it will be back to the wrong post count.

Yes.  That would be the next step.  Take note as to whether phpMyAdmin reports an issue with the table as well.

Hello, I tried reapring it through MySQL but it wouldn't fix it.

As it seem the error results from users having detelted unread personal messages. The unread messages are no longer in their inbox but remain as unread / count towards the unread message count.

Any idea what I could do?

Does the table show and error when you check it through phpMyAdmin?  Can you copy and paste the error if it does?
