Quick-edit cannot properly use alt+s?

Quick-editing a post (by clicking the pencil icon in each/your posts) seems to have problems with submitting, sometimes. Clicking the submit button works fine, but pressing alt+s will generally take me to a regular post reply page (with a blank textbox) and the error:

This seems to always occur for me, and has caused several lost posts (odd how Lazarus struggles in chrome). This is using SMF 2.0 with a custom theme (largely graphical and color changes, very, very similar to the default theme in layout and without changes to the source. Several mods are installed:

Try collapsing the quick reply box and see if that helps. You should be able to submit the quick edit form with alt+s, but it might be triggering the Post button in the Quick Reply box instead.

Well for me "alt+s"and "alt+p" shortcuts works only on regular post page.

Tried with opera 11.6 and firefox 9.
