Converting from AEF to SMF: never done this , much help needed!!

So the user i add will be smf?

The converters, there 3 different type , which one of those or does it matter

There is only one converter those are just compress methods whichever you download will be fine.

Let me explain in different way. Normally you have those 4

AEF DB / AEF User (manages AEF DB)
SMF DB / SMF User (manages SMF DB)

now you have to add SMF User to AEF DB via your control panel so SMF User can access AEF DB and read it so converter can get datas and change them to SMF

How long would it take to convert a small forum, with less than 50 members with a few hundred post's ?

Maximum 2 minutes (with Celeron 1.8 processor :P)
