Explaining forum usage to unskilled senios

(1/1)

Murphy234:
I am creating a forum as part of a website that is designed to help very inexperienced seniors.
Is there  simple explanation of how such users should use the forum?
The online manual is designed to terrify such users

Bare minimum of features

ElPlayer:
hello,
i think you could make videos explaining how to register, login, post, watch unread messages and send pm's and you could also try to find an intuitive theme for the forum so its easier to use

Irisado:
You could also write out as a sticky thread how to use the basic forum functions once members have actually registered.  This could include some of the features ElPlayer has described above, and perhaps a few others.  Just avoid using computer speak of any description  :).

mrintech:
Video Tutorials/Screencasts will be awesome :)
