Moving from jcink to smf
(1/1)
loveley:
Hi there! I'm looking forward to move from jcink to smf.
Has anyone had a successful move and can give me some tips on the process?
While googling, I could not find any converters for jcink db to any popular self-hosted forum software. What could I do? Any help, ideas?
K@:
jcink?
That's a hosting company, isn't it?
I notice they use Invision on their forum.
So, converting from jclink to SMF seems a bit illogical, to me, Loveley.
Have you got your facts right, there?
If you want to convert an Invision board to SMF, we have converters. :)

No, it's not only hosting company. :) Quoting "Jcink Forum Hosting is a free forum hosting service that runs a modified version of Invision Power Board (IPB)." If you are familiar with invisionfree, then basically jcink is invisionfree with superpowers. :D
I doubt that invision converters will work, as Jcink is a heavily modded IPB 1.3 forum. :) I'll still try them, thank you for the reply and link.

I have a distinct feeling, then, that you're out of luck with finding a converter. :(
Unless, of course, someone knows something that I don't (Which is entirely likely). ;)
