local image uploader for POST

Is there a mod that will allow me to upload to my local directory structure?
I have searched around and can only find file hosting mods.

I found one that *says* it would upload to the template/images folder but... it didn't.

Any suggestions appreciated.

If you want to be able to upload files to your forum and have them live on the forum server, that's what attachments are for. There are also gallery mods like Aeva Media that will do the trick.

If you want to do something else, I'm not entirely sure what you're hoping to achieve...

Yes. I code a bit in PHP and have a couple of things I could hack about with but figured - "why reinvent the wheel?" - if indeed it exists  ;)

Images - to be embedded in post. This is for a small discussion group so size, security and such not relevant.

Not difficult. As I said I code [even did a (super) simple forum] and can recognise good stuff. Yes, I have dug into source files. Nice and easy to read.

There's mods for that too, though Aeva Media is probably a lot more complete in terms of features.
