An auto post removal function?

<< < (2/2)

Rumbaar:
Are you sure you or anyone else with permissions didn't run a maintenance routine to either purge old posts or Find Fix errors that might have moved them?

SpectroPro:
I was just going to post the same thing..  As I just tested that feature on my site..  In the admin panel under maintenance/common tasts there is an option to delete old posts.  Someone has to do this manually, but it will do it very quickly..thus, you will see the short times between.

Also, there are scheduled tasks.. I do NOT think old posts is in any of them..but maybe someone needs to make sure.  MOST of those should be on by default, but would suck if auto delete is included in there..  Then again, auto-delete would be a nice option as a scheduled task...but should ship OFF by default!

FH:
I'll have to look back into who may have done maintenance recently, perhaps they selected it by mistake.

Rumbaar:
There is no automation of deletion or purging of threads/posts that I know of in 2.x.
