show last page, first

is it possible to show the last page of a topic first when you go to that topic?
i tried setting the 'show most recent posts at top' option in themes and layouts->members but still i'm going to first page of topics.

If you have the "show most recent posts at top" at the top option set, then SMF displays them with the OLDEST (first) post at the bottom of page xxx and the newest (latest) post at the top of page 1.

If you click the title of a topic, you'll be taken to page 1 with post nnn visible at the top.

If you click the "New" icon in your recent posts / replies or the Index, it will always take you to the replay after the last time you read that topic, so if there are 100 posts in a topic and you last looked at reply #50 then there will be 49 before and 51 after after the post you last viewed.
