Members can't view attachments?

(1/1)

Kat9119:
In permissions I have "regular members" set to view and post attachments, but nobody can view them or post them other then me the admin?

Under "attachments and Avatars" I have it set to "enable all attachments"

any ideas?

Ricky.:
You have to check permission , Find in :
Admin --> Members--> Permission --> General Permission
Make sure following is enabled..
View attachments
Post attachments

K@:
Also, if you have both post-count-based membergroups and non-post-count-based membergroups (There should be abbreivations, for those!), make sure the permissions that they have don't cross-over. A member could be in two groups, you see...?

That's probably not what your problem is. Ricky's covered that. But, I thought it worth mentioning, because a lot of members fall foul of that. (I don't have any post-count groups, because of that.) :)

I do have post count groups and then moderator groups. However, the person complaining they couldn't see the attachments was a regular member. "regular members" have permission to view and post attachments. They always have, but nobody can see them even with those checked off in General Permissions for "regular member" group.

I don't see permission settings for post count based groups.

I think I'm confusing myself even further right now LOL!

Kays:
Hi, go into the member's profile. In the menu on the left, click on "Show Permissions". There you can see what permissions that member is entitled to as well as which groups that permission is inherit from.
