How much web space is enough for SMF

<< < (2/3) > >>

Codestor:
Ok. Apart from the attachments, the avatar uploads counts in determining the disk space right? so each user having an avatar, will increase space right?

Colin:
That is correct, yes.

Colin:
Avatars are generally less space than attachments as they are just images. That is why in my previous post I simply referenced attachments. Do note though, if you have a large quantity of avatars then yes that is something to consider for diskspace.

Codestor:
Hmm alright, Thanks  :)
I would like to just keep text file attachments on, is there a way to disable other file types attachments (i didn't search for this before asking, so i would go on and search the forum first now, sorry about that).

Colin:
No worries, in the attachment settings area of the admin panel you can configure the accepted file extensions. if you just want text files you could use .txt and .rtf. Let me know if you need help navigating to the attachment settings area.
