1.1.8 Problem

Hello community

i want to install SMF locally with xampp or wamp. i choose v 1.1.8 because this was the version of my old backup which i want to install local to search it and to test some stuff. but im gettin an error while installing smf:

Function mysql_list_tables() is deprecated in install.php on line 798

I found a solution for v1.1.11 but not for mine. what can i do?

In case you don't know what "Deprecated" means, in this context, here's a quick translation:

In the process of authoring computer software, its standards or documentation, or other technical standards, deprecation is a status applied to features, characteristics, or practices to indicate that they should be avoided, typically because they have been superseded.

Basically, as you know, SMV v1.1.8 is WAY out of date, because the versions of php, etc. have moved on, since then. It's most likely not working, because the version of php, etc. that your server has is too modern to work with those old settings.

Can you restore your backup somewhere, then do the large upgrade to v1.1.16?

You can drop the whole thing to your xampp, then.

Would that work, d'ya think?
