Your first impression of SMF?

Having been with YaBBSE since v1.0 - My first impression - was a four letter word ;)
It felt like YaBBSE was being torn away from me - all the hard work learning the ins and outs of the code - gone. All the mods that I would have to put in again.
All gone and just a horrible big sentence at the top of the yabbse boards :(
And silence.
Then..... I thought to my self - better take a look at what’s changing before I throw myself into a sea of depression.
Speed - yeah - pretty fast - looking good.
Interface - looks like they have tried to be corporate, a little dull - but hey! They have themes now.
Ease of use - Excellent, as before - no change here.
The Name - Well, as good as any and the idea of keeping it simple is a cool one. I also like the Seesaw pivot type logo, although not strictly that of the forum - it immediately made me think of 'power with the least effort'.
The charter membership idea is a cool one and one that places YaBBSE SMF in a position to be taken seriously - not just as another free forum downloadable from hotscripts but also as real product. (hopefully you know what I mean by that).
Overall, I think the changes here are for the better and look forward the future of the SMF.

looks good ... but still very yabbse-ish only colors and buttons change ..
but I didn't see any major changes on its features yet !? I am sure there are alot but you can't see them until you become admin !! I mean it's changes in the performance .. right ? :-\

Not only, things I already noticed: great improvements in profile handling, many new options to switched on/off in, the also redesigned in same way as profile handling (at least, if I understood right), speed improvements, and many other things...! :)
I suggest: look a bit through the 'Feature Request' board to see which features who were requested are already in it! :)
