se 1.5.5 to smf - help needed

hello. i hope i didn't post this question in another section. my memory is a sieve these days! i upgraded from 1.3.1 to yabb se. all looks fine. i had a copy of smf also running on the server. i want to upgrade from yabb se to smf. i have the upgrade files (i uploaded the entire directory).

did i need to upload the entire upgrade folder since smf was already on the server? if so, does the upgrade file need to be in the same folder as my current smf files (i.e. should i have uploaded the upgrade files to my current smf folder)? if i didn't need to upload the entire upgrade folder, again, where does the upgrade.php need to be? thank you.

Upload the upgrade files (all of them) into the same directory as YaBB SE, please... then just run upgrade.php ;).
