At long last, all of the legal issues have been resolved and all of the assets of the LLC have been transferred to the NPO. There may still a few little things that we need to complete, but the NPO is alive and running forward.

There are many new and exciting changes coming in the near future. I'm sure you will all be happy to finally see the 2.0 Gold release. There has been some forward motion in potentially adding additional projects other than just the SMF forum software under the Simple Machines umbrella. This was a longtime goal of Simple Machines LLC, but we were unable to finalize. (I'll save that information for those involved to share when the time is right.)

While there have been many negative comments made over the past two years, I am still quite proud of the SMF Project and have faith that the new parents of the child I've nurtured will continue to care for and love it as much as I have.

I'd like to thank everyone but I think doing so would sound like I was duplicating Compuart's resignation post from last year. I could repeat what he said, but I couldn't have said it better.

I took Owdy's quote of "allowing it to grow up and move on" was aimed at the SMF software and not Amacythe.
