My new forum has been hijack by spammers - help needed

I now have 30 pages of spam on my forum, on a page that had 1 post!

I have removed the 'members' who had posted but how can I remove all the posts?

please dont say 1 by 1

I tried to search but because I have removed the member it doesnt find them

this is currently a disaster

can you advise?

Have a look at the mod section of the site, there are many mods to help stop spammers, if you do a quick search of the site you will find many topics on how to anti-spammify your forum.

Admin > Configuration > Security & Moderation > Anti Spam

You can enable the verification questions there

Personally I prefer a random choice of say 2 questions from a group of 10.  Makes bot programming quite a challenge.  But questions become difficult if your forum uses multi languages.

Bots have generally cracked catchpas, so don't rely on them.  Indeed I have it turned off on my site.

I also find mods such as bad behaviour a great addition to security
