Converting from SMF 1.1 series to SMF 2.new

I'm interested in converting my SMF forum that is running 1.1 software to the latest 2.0 version. Is there an easy way to do this and I'm just missing it? Any information appreciated. Thank you for your time. -Eric

I had read through that and thought that it was only applicable when staying within one series or the other. Is it possible to use this method to go from a 1.x forum to a 2.x ?

Updating means only from 1.1.14 to 1.1.15 (for example) or from 1.1.15 to 1.1.16 (a small step let's say).

Upgrading instead means from any version of SMF to a newer (for example from 1.0 to 2.0.2 or from 1.1.16 to 2.0 or any other combination :P).

So, yes: upgrading is the thing to do if you want to move from SMF 1.x to 2.0. ;)
