Even though without all the legal junk it still is a bad idea IMHO. What would happen with the trust? If SM sold out listings to a company for a product and it turns out the product was bad then people will start blaming SM. It is a mindset thing, SM benefited from the product being distributed or linked from the site so it is the one who has to deal with the consequences also. In this case the consequences would be user trust.

What would have to be done, validating everything. As far as I see probably not the best, more team members would have to be added just to take the extra load.

I actually don't see it working out too good. Maybe if there where automated means, but these must be developed and are not full proof.  :-\

True. All the more reason this has never got off the ground, even when there were more 3PO's around.
