I have smf 2.0.2 my bb code simply inserts the url often long & ugly.....how can I change this to a tidy description link please.

am ok modifying code if I know where to look & have code to insert (ie: i'm noobish lol)

yes how can I change bb code to do this?  I can do this myself in a post but most of my members will not be able to do this at posting stage.
