ROGUE-Master:
My site was hacked.. all the sites on my server... FTP deleted... MYSQL DB's Delted.... Everything. Now I'm asking you what I should do.

Should I install the full install of YaBBSE 1.5.5 then use the MYSQL insert to insert all my posts and all my info that was backed up. So then I can upgrade to simple machines when its released.

Would that work? Would inserting the posts back in actually work eh?

Tyris:
if you do a clean install, then over-write all the tables with your database values (ie: upload and "replace" your backup) it will work (or should).

assuming YaBBSE wasnt the security hole coz everything was deleted (or was it an old version)... talk to your host, find out where they got in, how, etc.

Spaceman-Spiff:
which YSE version were you using?

Grudge:
As they said what version of YABB SE was deleted? I don't think YABB SE could be your problem as your files were deleted. Just change your ftp passwords, re-upload all your material and run your most recent backup sql file. You should be fine doing that - in fact that's the BEST thing to do if you wish to upgrade to SMF in the future AND keep your posts.

Yeehaw:
A host without a (tape) backup? What is it? JoeBob's Webhosting/Diner? "All the web you can eat and the Blue Plate Special for $2.99"
 ;)

Or could it be...no, I shan't say it...

Sorry...(or then again, maybe not)
