Moderation log - couple of issues
(1/1)
orange:
The moderation log is really handy, but there are a couple of issues I've noticed:
1. If a moderator edits one of their own posts, it still appears in the log. Surely only editing other people's posts should count as a moderation action?
2. Deleting a post from a thread seems to log it as a Modified action on the first post in the thread, which is a bit odd. Obviously the actual post is no longer there to link to, but could it at least be classified as "Deleted" rather than "Modified"?
Thanks :)

1. I think the reasoning behind this is that is logs all moderation actions, this includes non-moderators editing their own posts.

No, it only records it when moderators or people with moderator-like privileges do stuff. If you only have the "edit_own" permission it doesn't log it, because this is not moderation. If you have "edit_any" then it does, because it is a moderator.
Are you sure about 2? Deleting how? Checkboxes? Delete button?

Actually, sorry, I was wrong about (2). In fact, it doesn't seem to log post deletions at all. Looking down my moderation log, I only have Modified, Moved and Locked entries. I just tried deleting a post but nothing was added to the log. Any ideas on this one?
