FrizzleFried:
I can understand the frustrations but that is part and parcel with being a member of a "support forum".  I expressed how I've seen/saw things dealt with here.  I'm not making it up.  It "is" just one mans opinion, however it's shared by at least a few others based on the PM's I've gotten (and the fact there are 3rd party support forums for SMF).

Like I said though... no biggie... i'll simply continue to ignore the "attitudes" and simply attempt to mine the relevant info I'm looking for.

:)

Thanks and I apologize for the thread-crap.

One other thing we have to take into consideration, on both sides, is cultural differences.

Whilst it may appear, to you, that people are being high'n'mighty or Kiss-my-assy, it may well be that the culture of the person concerned might just do things that way.

When I try a bit of support, I often try to do it in a way that helps the person concerned learn something. Often, by giving them pointers, rather than giving them direct answers.

Whilst I try to make it perfectly obvious that that's what I'm doing, I guess that, sometimes, it may come across as me trying to be clever (Which I surely am NOT)( Not clever, I mean).

Just something to consider. :)
