You are using SMF 2.0.2.  Make sure the theme you are trying to install is also for 2.0.2.  Sometimes earlier versions will work, but not always without some fiddling about.

How are you uploading the theme to your website, from within the SMF, or using ftp?  Depending on you server's configuration some themes are too large to be uploaded from within SMF.  If you are uploading through ftp then you need to unzip your theme package locally and then upload the unzipped files to a new folder under ../themes/.  Then you can install the theme in the admin panel from "install from a directory" making sure you have edited the correct path.  Your uploaded new theme folder and files within should have permissions of at least 755.

I'm sure I'm using SMF 2.0.2 and the themes I tried to install are for 2.0.2. I successfully installed these themes in other SMF 2.0.2. I use FileZilla to upload files. The theme folder permission is at least 755 and I edited the correct path.

Filezilla...

Make sure "Transfer type" is set to "Binary", NOT "Auto", which is the default.

I re-installed smf and theme. I also set Filezilla to "Binary" but it does not work. Do you have any other suggestion ?

It's a bit odd, but you indicate you can install themes to other sites presumably hosted elsewhere, but not this one specific site.  That suggests to me your specific site is corrupted somewhere or, more probably there is a server configuration set by your hosting that is preventing the installation.  If your ftp permissions are correct allowing the forum software to create and change files, are there any htaccess files overriding those permissions?

I'm wondering if your host has restrictions...

Can you check, to see if mod_security is DISabled and that you have full ownership (That's like CHMOD, only it's CHOWN) of the files on your site?
