Problem with showing post count

(1/3) > >>

Shadowing:
hey guys my main Parent board doesnt show posts count on it. I assume it would show all the posts with in all the child boards?

Colin:
No, the parent board only shows posts inside of it regardless if it has child boards. Why would you want a parent board with no posts and only child boards? Wouldn't it be better to have all those child boards be main boards?

Kermit:
Try this

Admin -> Boards -> Settings -> Count child's posts in parent's totals

but be advised if a child board would have another child board inside,then this post count from child of child would be ignored on the main page due to performance purposes

Good to know. Wasn't aware of that setting.

Storman™:
Shadowing - Why don't you do what Colin says, maybe make "Stargate System Lords" the Category name, and then move all those child board to main boards. It'll look better and be more intuitive to your visitors/members IMO.

Just a suggestion  ;)
