Customizing SMF > SMF Coding Discussion

There is a space to the right of the logo and left of the profile information when your logged in.
I would like to put some facebook/twitter/youtube logos, and possibly a donate button.
I am not good with programming, but hoping somone would help me or at least tell me how I should go about doing this.
Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks :D
