Yes, you used a crappy attitude and get crappy replies, here's the thing: I've seen other threads of yours where you're not exactly nice to people and wonder why you think no-one can help... there are plenty that can, just no-one wants to when the consequence is ungrateful people who don't really deserve help just throw out nasty comments.
As far as configuring emails to SMS goes, it's an unreliable process, varies from cell operator to cell operator and country to country - here in the UK for example you have to pay to send a message which means dealing with operators and sorting out a plan whereby you can pay to send. I don't know what the deal in the US is, or indeed in your country. (But I do know this is the reason Twitter stopped sending text messages to people in the UK.)
