* Normal Edit directs you to a posting page where you can change the content of the post. To modify a Post or Topic, select the button that says Modify. Make any necessary changes and then select Save.
* Quick Edit provides an inline edit box but you will not see the buttons for automatically placing Bulletin Board Code in your posts and will need to manually enter the bulletin board code in your posts. You can perform a quick edit without refreshing the page by selecting the pencil on paper icon located at the lower right of every post. This will change the post box into an editing, once you select theSave button you will see the changes made instantly.

Let's treat this list in more of a term-definition format and use "modify." So...

* Modify - A post may be modified by selecting the Modify link... etc.
* Quick Modify - Selecting the pencil and paper icon in the lower right corner of a post provides an inline edit box... etc.
Also, there are still some references to "you" in there. :)

You'd think I would have caught on by now ;) Anyway, just re-read the guidelines and realised I was using the list items incorrectly. Hopefully I have got the hang of it now and I'll revisit the other rewrites to make changes.

--- Quote from: Chas Large ---Posts may sometimes require modifying. Usually a forum will give permission for all members to modify the posts they have made and moderators will be able to modify everyone's posts including their own. There are two methods of modifying a post

* Modify - provides a posting page where changes to the content of the post can be made. To modify a Post or Topic, select the Modify button. Make any necessary changes and then select Save.
* Quick Modify - provides an inline edit box but the buttons for automatically placing Bulletin Board Code in the post are not displayed. These will need to to be manually added. A quick edit can be performed without refreshing the page by selecting the pencil on paper icon located at the lower right of every post. This will change the post display into an editing box, once modified select the  Save button to display the changes instantly.

No problem. :) It's a learning experience, and it takes a little while to remember all those guidelines. haha!

Let's use complete sentences in the explanation, rather than starting with "provides...." Also, remember not to capitalize terms like "post" and "topic," unless they would normally be capitalized in that position of the sentence. The second explanation is also a bit redundant (You mention the inline edit box twice.), so you may want to reword a couple of parts.

Almost there. :)
