[NEW] Using the 'Moderate' Tab (SMF 2.0 ONLY)

(1/1)

Jakob von Feldern:
Introduction

On SMF 2.0 forums, Release Candidates 1, 2, and 3, there is a new tab, called Moderate. It allows moderators to have access to a page which has tools to help them moderate the forum. This is similar to the admin tab.

Main

On the front page of the Moderate center, there are sections for Recent Topic Reports, Membergroup Requests, and Recent Watched Members. The moderators can customize the look of this page.

Recent Topic Reports shows the most recent topics that were reported by other users.

Recent Watched Members lists the most recent members that moderators are watching.

Membergroup Requests shows all of the people who are requesting to join a certain group.

From the link called Main, there is a drop-down menu allowing the moderator to access other pages.

Moderation Log tells the administrators what the moderators have been doing. This feature is to keep track of moderators, to make sure that they are obeying the forum's moderator Code of Conduct. (If one is set)

Warning Log is a log of all warnings given by moderators and admins alike.

Watched Members lists all members who are being watched.

Posts

Under the link named Posts, there is a drop-down menu which lists the following:

Unapproved Posts is a list of posts that have not yet been approved.

Unapproved Attachments is the same as Unapproved Posts, but with attachments instead.

Reported Posts is a list of all posts that have been reported. Moderators should check this regularly.

Membergroups

The link called Membergroups has a drop-down menu listing a few membergroup-related pages.

Membergroup Requests lists all requests to join a request-able membergroup.

View Membergroups lists all available membergroups.

Preferences

And on to the last link. The Preferences link allows the moderator to change his/her settings for the moderation center.

Check the spread sheet of new and old documentation that needs to be completed.

Good first job :)

Jakob von Feldern:
Thanks. :) I didn't see it, so that's why I wrote it. I knew it was too good to be true that I had a huge opportunity opening.
