Good tip about Filezilla, the settings were indeed wrong. Could that be why some of my members can't access the forum anymore? I just upgraded to RC4 and some members say they get these messages
- unable to verify url, please go back and try again
- Maintanance Mode and we're attempting to restore an older back up.

 The problem doesn't appear on a Mac. One member has a PC and can't access with that, but the Mac doesn't give problems..

Any tips?

I don't think so (I could be wrong), but you might want to search this forum for the error messages, and if you don't find anything that fixes it, start a new topic.   ;)

Just a thought... Wouldn't it be far simpler to give these files an extension that can then be removed by the forum code upon detection?
