I don't run one most of the time, but run a sweep every month or so and I've not had any viruses in *years*.

I've still never had a virus (a noticeable one at that), but I probably should download Avast! and do a boot time scan when I get my ADSL setup.

I'm male, 20 and Australian. What can I say :P

On a seriously note, since this is (meant :P) to be a family friendly forum, I was sure people would understand.

ADSL is just needed for your updating database of anti-virus. When this process is completed, you can un-plug the ADSL cabble and start scan at boot time.
